2 Timothy 4:7-8 (ESV)
“ I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.”

Yesterday morning, August 21st 2018 a little after 7am, my grandfather Richard Dahlin passed from this life and entered into eternity with Jesus. My grandfather spent the last few months of life sharing blessing, wisdom and spending quality time with his family. When I talked with my grandpa a few days ago he gave some preaching advice. In his wise, gravelly and weakened voice he said, “No matter what you preach, bring it to the cross. That’s where the power is.” My grandpa’s life and the legacy he leaves is one of faithfulness to God and family. His life is an encouragement to live a life pleasing to God and always be thankful for everything God gives us. I encourage everyone reading this to aim to end your race well and leave your own legacy of faithfulness to God as a testimony for future generations.
