Weekly Pastor’s Corner:

Run Child Run

Your past does not need to define your future! God has a plan for your life that he wants you to lean into. Like a runner leaning into a race to try to get the best speed, God desires us to lean in spiritually to fully enter into his plans and purposes. Sometimes the race feels like a sprint and sometimes it feels like a marathon. It may feel difficult and even painful at first as your spiritual muscles are stretched and pushed. But as you begin to run, your spiritual muscles will strengthen. You will find this is the race that you were created for. Don’t give up. God promises to provide for your every need. Fix your eyes on Jesus and run your race. His mercies are new every morning and he will give you the strength each day to press toward the prize. Run child run!

Philippians 3:12-14 (ESV)   Not that i have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining for what lies ahead, I press toward  the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
